Getting ready for my Yoga Ladies

Last week all my Yoga classes focused on the feet. We used the wall and blocks to understand how the feet are the foundation of any standing pose. The feet are not fixed, but always managing micro movements supporting the rest of your body. It was a fun class, with lots of balancing postures and pivoting. This past week, one of my yoga students shared with me:

“I love your classes—they have a mix of everything. I get great movement, deeper stretches, and always a meditation at the end that leaves me feeling relaxed and re-aligned.”

Hearing this warmed my heart. But here’s what I want you to know: the magic isn’t coming from me—it’s coming from you.

When you step onto your mat, you are the one choosing to move, to stretch, to breathe, and to rest. I simply hold the space, offer guidance, and create an environment where you can explore what your body and spirit need. The alignment, the release, the calm you feel at the end of class—that is your own inner work shining through.

Yoga is not about perfection or performance. It’s about showing up, listening inward, and allowing yourself to be present. Every time you join class, you are cultivating strength, flexibility, and peace from within. I am honored to witness it, but it is truly your practice and yourself that brings on this transformation.

When you leave feeling relaxed, re-aligned, and renewed, take a moment to thank yourself. You are the one doing the work. I’m just grateful to walk alongside you on the journey.

Perfection is the work of G-d and quirks are the work of me. Ever since I was little i always thought it was interesting to add small strange details to my work.
Whether it was a doodle on my school notes or adding adornments to these clay pieces . “ I remember reading that Shaker’s deliberately introduced a mistake into the things they made, to show that man shouldn’t aspire to the perfection of God- flawed can be more perfect than perfection.”

I wish that I knew about Yoga when I was a Teen.
It would have helped me calm down and be present.

It could have flipped the worldview that I was used to which said----
if you don't get good grades, you are not good.
If you are not happy, there is something wrong.
If you are feeling left out, perhaps others don't want to include you.

From Yoga, I would have learned that just being alive is enough. There is nothing that I need to do that would make me more or less worthy of love and being alive. I could still be "good" even when my grades were not, I could still be ok even if I am not "happy" and if I am feeling left out, I will survive and get past this moment.

l could be seen, supported, and whole--- even during an awkward period of life.

If you have a daughter ages 11 - 15 and you resonate with these words. You want to support them, show them the beauty of being alive, and let them shine for who they are----
I invite you to sign them up for Teen Yoga.
If you’re new or thinking about joining , here’s what I want you to know:
Those Teens who show up belong. We co-create the Teen Class with positivity with the purpose of making everyone shine.

We don't over praise flexibility, or undervalue strength, but whatever the Teens bring to class that day is what needs to show up. Some days it is silliness and laughter, other days it is savasana.

Bringing positivity, health, strength, and inner peace to women is my mission.

From teaching Teens -- to teaching moms, or older women, at whatever age and stage women and girls should feel comfortable in their own bodies and confident in their minds.

Next week's class will be on Thursday night--in person and on zoom--with the focus of the🌖 New Moon in 🌙Aquarius and the Jewish month of Shevat. It is a time to try something new during this month. Maybe it is the time to commit to a regular Yoga practice.

If you are an experienced Yoga person or new to Yoga but are looking for movement and grounding into wisdom, peace, and presence.

Helping women feel calm, empowered, strong, and balanced is the most rewarding part of what I do. Every story and every transformation reminds me why I started this journey in the first place.

After the Unhunch workshop and 30 day challenge this was the feedback I got from someone who committed to doing the consistent work:

Unhunch was GREAT! I'm learning it's two parts: the exercises + the awareness throughout the day to stand straighter! I'm working on both.

The simple sticker chart was amazing. It helped me remember to do it! I guess you're never too old for stickers :)
I'm excited to continue with these exercises and keep standing STRAIGHT AND TALL!!
